Assa'ada International Research Journal (AIRJ), published by Jamia Sa-adiya Arabiya, is a multi-disciplinary open-access platform for original scholarly work. The journal is deliberately broad in scope. It welcomes submissions from across the sciences, humanities, social sciences, Islamic studies, education, law, technology and allied fields. Rather than confining itself to a narrow specialism, AIRJ reflects the multi-disciplinary character of its publisher, an institution that runs 30+ institutions spanning religious, arts, science, commerce and technical education.
Our scope is guided by three commitments. We put quality before specialisation. We look for relevance before trend. We prefer openness over narrowness. We welcome work that advances knowledge in its own field, and we are especially interested in research that engages seriously with the broader intellectual, ethical and social questions of our time, whether that engagement is scientific, humanistic, theological or interdisciplinary in method.
AIRJ invites submissions in the following broad areas, and welcomes work in related and adjacent disciplines. This list is illustrative, not exhaustive.
AIRJ particularly encourages interdisciplinary and comparative research that crosses the boundaries listed above. Some of the most important contemporary questions cannot be answered from within a single discipline. These include questions on ethics and technology, faith and science, tradition and modernity, community and policy. Work that brings together, for example, Islamic ethics with modern economics, classical scholarship with contemporary methodology, or scientific research with community application, will find a welcoming home at AIRJ.
AIRJ invites original, unpublished manuscripts in the following categories:
Original research presenting new findings, data, or theoretical contributions in the author's field.
Critical surveys of existing literature, identifying gaps and offering new perspectives on a subject.
Concise pieces reporting preliminary results, focused arguments or timely observations on a specific issue.
Critical evaluations of recently published academic books within the journal's scope.
AIRJ welcomes submissions from researchers, academicians, professionals, practitioners and students at any stage of their academic career. We are especially keen to support early-career researchers and first-time authors through a transparent, constructive peer review process. Submissions from independent scholars, community researchers, and practitioner-scholars are equally welcome. Scholarly quality, not institutional affiliation, is the criterion we apply.
Every manuscript at AIRJ passes through a clear, structured process:
Authors submit their original, unpublished work through the AIRJ submission portal along with author details, abstract and keywords.
The editorial team screens the manuscript for scope, quality, and originality. Every submission is checked using Turnitin, with a similarity limit of up to 10%.
Manuscripts that pass initial screening are sent to subject experts for double-blind peer review. Reviewer feedback is shared with the author.
Authors revise their manuscript based on reviewer comments. Once revisions are satisfactory, the manuscript is accepted for publication.
Accepted papers are published in the next available issue and are freely accessible worldwide under the CC BY 4.0 license.
Every accepted author receives an official Certificate of Publication from AIRJ.
