Assa'ada International Research Journal (AIRJ) was launched in January 2026 with a clear purpose. We wanted to provide a rigorous, ethical and freely accessible platform for original scholarship across the disciplines. AIRJ is published by Jamia Sa-adiya Arabiya, an institution with over five decades of educational service. We believe meaningful research should shape public knowledge, and access to publication should never depend on the author's institutional standing or ability to pay.
We aim to be a journal that authors are proud to publish in and readers can trust to represent honest, careful scholarship. The work may be empirical, theoretical, historical or applied. The author may be a senior scholar, an early-career researcher, or a student contributing a first piece. In every case, our commitment to quality and fairness stays the same.
Our editorial and publishing work is guided by the following eight aims. Together they describe what AIRJ stands for and what authors and readers can expect from us.
AIRJ wants to inspire and nurture original ideas that can make a real contribution to their field. We welcome work that goes beyond well-worn territory and we encourage researchers to think beyond conventional disciplinary boundaries.
Complex problems rarely fit neatly inside a single discipline. AIRJ provides a platform for researchers from different fields to bring their perspectives into dialogue. We specifically welcome work that combines methods, frameworks or traditions across disciplinary lines.
Knowledge grows through exchange. AIRJ is committed to being an internationally accessible journal. It is open to submissions from any country, published without paywalls, and free to read for anyone with an internet connection. Our long-term aim is to build a genuine international community around the journal.
Every manuscript submitted to AIRJ passes through editorial screening, plagiarism checking using Turnitin with a 10% limit, and double-blind peer review by subject experts. We do not compromise on scholarly rigor. The strength of the argument, evidence and originality is what decides whether a piece is published.
Publishing a first paper can be daunting. AIRJ aims to be a supportive home for early-career researchers, PhD scholars and first-time authors. Our reviewers provide constructive, detailed feedback that helps authors strengthen their work, rather than gatekeeping feedback that only tells them what is wrong.
AIRJ follows the highest standards of academic ethics. This includes originality, honest citation of sources, protection of research subjects where applicable, transparent methodology and freedom from conflict of interest. We expect the same standards from our authors, reviewers and editorial team.
We want to publish research that matters. This means work that contributes to its field, informs public understanding, or supports practitioners, policy-makers and community leaders. We encourage authors to think about and clearly explain the wider implications of their research beyond narrow academic circles.
AIRJ is more than a publication venue. It is part of Jamia Sa-adiya Arabiya's wider tradition of literary associations, study camps and scholarly discourse. Over time we hope to run conferences, workshops and thematic issues that bring the AIRJ author and reader community into direct conversation.
Beyond these eight aims, AIRJ carries a broader ambition. We want to show that a serious, open-access, fee-free academic journal can be built and sustained in the tradition of an institution like Jamia Sa-adiya Arabiya, where classical scholarship and modern academic disciplines have lived side by side for decades. We hope AIRJ can serve not only as a journal but as an example of what publicly-oriented, ethically-grounded academic publishing can look like today.
We invite researchers, scholars and innovators from across India and around the world to join us in this work. Every submission is a contribution to the community we are building around this journal, whether it is accepted, revised or declined. Together, we can create the kind of scholarly platform the current moment calls for.
